A 2.7-liter turbo with four cylinders sounds like a perfect candidate. Thanks to the turbocharger this engine can generate 310 horses and 350 lb-ft of torque. The things are not clear yet with the standard engine, so the 3.6-liter V6 could also be in the offer.
On the other hand, an optional and larger 6.2-liter is pretty certain. This unit delivers 445 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of twists. The engine can be re-tuned for the maximum 650 horses-output. Smaller displacement comes with a 6-speed automatic while the larger one offers 8-speed automatic transmission.
2023 Chevy El Camino will feature the same old shape
During the 60s and 70s, the El Camino pickup truck was one of the best-looking models in its respective segment. Now, the segment is packed with very attractive models from various different carmakers. The 2023 Chevy El Camino will feature the same old shape, but the styling will be a new one. For the start, the front end comes with a sedan-like hood and very modern grille. The headlights are wider and generally, the front part looks very modern.

Just like the base model, El Camino SS will use the same drivetrain. However, the 6.2-liter under the hood of the SS model will generate up to 555 horsepower.

While it is too early to speculate about the price of the upcoming 2023 Chevy El Camino you can expect the price around $30,000. The sportier El Camino SS variant will cost about $35,000. Latest reports are saying the Chevrolet’s newest pickup truck will arrive in April 2023.
