We have no doubt that the 2024 Ford Expedition will continue with a familiar 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine under the hood. This efficient unit delivers around 375 horsepower, while a max output goes up to 400 ponies in higher trims.
It comes in a pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission and returns pretty good 17 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.
Some reports suggest 2024 Ford Expedition Diesel, as one of the biggest novelty for the next year, due to the fact that the new Tahoe will come with four engines in the offer. We are still waiting to hear something from the officials.
2024 Ford Expedition Redesign
Some 2024 Ford Expedition changes may come, but base design characteristics will definitely remain the same. The current generation has been around for a couple of years and, naturally, it shares a lot of design solutions with the current-generation F-150. This includes platform as well, so the Expedition is light, efficient and maneuverable. In terms of the styling, things are pretty clear with this one.
The front end has a lot of similarities with the iconic truck, though there are some distinctive details. On the other side, the rest of the vehicle comes in a typical wagon manner, which means a lot of space on the inside. Speaking of the changes, the new model should visually remain the same. Of course, a long-wheelbase version called Expedition Max will be in the offer. This one features an impressive 131 inches in wheelbase, which in practice means so big cargo area, that you could easily put the fourth row of seats in this SUV, without any trouble.
Interior
As we already mentioned, there is a chance to see some updates in the next year. In the domain of interior design, that could be new color schemes and similar things. The overall cabin layout will remain the same.
This SUV comes with three spacious rows of seats and max capacity for eight passengers. When it comes to leg and headroom, this is probably the most generous model in the class. Even the third row offers an amazing level of comfort. Adult passengers can accommodate and enjoy long journeys without any trouble.
When it comes to the cabin quality, pretty much all surfaces are covered by fine, soft-touch materials. You can even find some premium touches, directly borrowed from the new Lincoln Navigator. The thing we like so much is the dashboard. It offers strange but a great combination of style and sturdiness, as there are many lines that came directly from the F-150.
The cargo area is probably the most impressive part of the Expedition’s cabin. You can count on about 21 cubic feet behind the third row, while the overall capacity goes all-away up to 105 cubic feet.
These are amazing numbers, but things are even more impressive in the long-wheelbase version. The 2024 Ford Expedition Max will continue in the same way, with 36 cubic feet behind the third row and stupendous 136 cubic feet of overall cargo space.
Tech and Safety Features
This is the area where we could see additions. The 2024 Ford Expedition could come with a couple of new standard features. Still, we have to say the current model is already pretty good in this aspect. Practically, our biggest complaint is for the base model, which comes with an ordinary, 4.2-inch display. When it comes to safety, we could also see a couple of additions in base models. Currently, a rearview camera and rear parking sensors are only standard features.
