2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne Redesign and Concept. Recently, we heard a good number of rumors regarding the production of the 2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne. All of these reports indicate one thing– something is cooking in Michigan. At the moment, most of the stuff we know is based on unofficial news and speculations. The fact is that there are three possibilities for the US market nameplate.
The first one is something similar to the 2022 Silverado Cheyenne concept. Next, we might see the same naming policy as is for Mexico. The third option is that the Cheyenne nameplate will be used for some future top-of-the-line versions. Now, let’s see what to expect of the Cheyenne if the truck goes into production.
2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne Redesign Rumors
If the rumors are true, there are three possibilities for the nameplate. The first one is that GM will bring something similar to the Silverado Cheyenne concept. If that happens, we expect to see a high-performance truck under this nameplate.
Some reports claim that it will be called the 2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne SS. The odds are not in favor of this option, simply because the GM doesn’t use this badge anymore. Anyhow, this would represent the high-performance version of the truck. Maybe even an off-road variant.
We expect to see a potent engine under the hood in any case. It won’t be a 6.2-liter V8 420 hp drivetrain that powers the regular Silverado trucks. More likely that the company will go for a supercharged version of the V8 motor, the one that uses a Camaro and produces around 650 hp. If the 2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne enters the production, we expect to see unique styling details and improved features. The redesign represents the second possible option for the new model.
As you probably know, this nameplate is hanging in Mexico for quite some time. In the Mexican market, only the entry-level is called Silverado, while the upper trims are called Cheyenne. This policy is used for both light and heavy-duty trucks. The dual-naming system could come to the US. The brand-new model made a debut in 2018, so it won’t be a surprise if that happens.
2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne Concept: Is It Possible That Cheyenne Becomes a High-Grade Trim?
The third option for the 2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne is that it returns as a range-topping trim level. The ongoing version comes in several trims, and the most exclusive one is called High Country. This trim adds a bunch of standard equipment and some unique packages.

The standard package includes an 8-inch driver information display, navigation, Bose premium stereo, front bucket seats, parking sensors, and heated second-row seats.
The High Country offers blind-spot monitoring, a power-sliding rear window, ventilated front seats, and much more. With a similar list of equipment, the Cheyenne model will have to find another way to distinguish itself. A unique styling and high-quality interior might solve that issue.
2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne Engine Specs and Release Date
As for the engine room, the 2025 Chevrolet Cheyenne will get the most powerful engine option. Still, we are not sure if the truck will get a familiar 6.2-liter V8. This mill produces 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The second option is a supercharged version of the V8 mill, which generates 650 hp.
All in all, the Cheyenne will probably enter production soon. The new truck will be presented alongside the rest of the Silverado models. Taking into account that this is the third production year, we expect to see the Cheyenne truck sometime in 2025.
