Nissan Titan 2025: Redesign, Specs. The forthcoming Nissan Titan 2025 is ready for the next chapter. As you know, the sales of the full-size pickup truck are lower than ever before. Because of that, Nissan is willing to give and provide significant upgrades Titan new hope. Interestingly, various reports suggested the end of the production for this famous model. That won’t happen as no one is giving up on its full-size truck nowadays. A redesign is happening and Titan will borrow a lot of styling cues from the Frontier model.
Of course, Nissan Titan will be more aggressive and more rugged. Even the interior will gain important updates so the cabin will be more modern. Changes under the hood are also likely to happen, but we’ll get to that in a minute. The sales will begin by the end of the current year and the price will slightly increase.
Diesel Engine Available in Titan XD Variant
Nowadays, a diesel engine is a must for a competitive full-size truck. The Nissan Titan 2025 will offer a diesel powertrain, but exclusively in its famous XD variant. It is a 5.0-liter turbodiesel engine, according to the latest reports.
However, some other reports are suggesting a smaller diesel variant, probably a turbo-six output. It will be interesting to see which diesel engine will be in the offer. Anyway, Titan XD is in the works and diesel engines will provide better fuel efficiency and higher towing capacity.
Titan 2025 Sticks to Its Current V8 Engine
As you probably know, the Titan truck received the latest updates in 2024. The sales are still poor so the Nissan Titan 2025 is getting additional upgrades. We are mostly interested in the truck’s performance and what’s going on under the hood. A 5.6-liter V8 is currently available and most likely, this engine will remain. It isn’t a bad thing as this powertrain option develops 400 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. Interestingly, Titan’s rivals are all using even larger V8 engines with more power.
One fine example is General Motors with its familiar 6.2-liter V8. On the other hand, Nissan won’t offer its aging seven-speed gearbox. Instead, the manufacturer now provides a nine-speed automatic transmission. The ride quality is better but if you want the best possible performance, premium fuel is a must. The Titan truck tows up to 10,000 pounds and it delivers 19 mpg combined.
Nissan Titan 2025 Price, Release Date
The upcoming Nissan Titan 2025 is coming to the dealerships later in 2021. The full-size truck will probably go on sale around November. The price won’t significantly change as Nissan now needs to boost the sales of its famous Titan model. Because of that, the price will start somewhere between $35,000 and $40,000.
