2024 Toyota Tundra Hybrid and Redesign. The all-new 2024 Toyota Tundra is reportedly in the works. According to various sources, the full-size pickup truck will arrive with significant upgrades. That includes new architecture, coil springs, and various different mechanical changes. Of course, the design will be drastically improved as we are expecting the next-gen model. Similar treatment will be continued on the inside as well.
Toyota already promised better performances and we already wrote about the new Tundra Hybrid variant. Some things are still a mystery but Japanese automaker will release official details in the coming months. New Tundra will probably cost more and the sales should begin by the end of the next year.
Engine Rumors
The forthcoming 2024 Toyota Tundra will get new architecture. Thanks to that, we should expect changes under the hood. The V8 powertrain won’t be available and this information is official. On the other hand, Toyota will deliver turbocharged engines and electrified powertrain options. For a start, a 3.5-liter engine that powers the Lexus LS 500 model will become available. This unit comes in combination with a lithium-ion battery and electric motor. The hybrid system will provide 450 horsepower, 500 lb-ft of torque, and up to 30-plus mpg combined. Next-gen Tundra will get a new engine lineup, probably including a diesel powertrain, but the Japanese manufacturer is yet to announce more details.
2024 Tundra Gets New Platform
For a start, the new 2024 Toyota Tundra will get a new platform. It is a Toyota New Global Architecture-F or TNGA-F chassis. Thanks to Tundra’s body-on-frame underpinnings, this truck will benefit from more high-strength steel and other lightweight materials.
And just like the Ram 1500 pickup, Tundra will offer coil springs for the first time. That means the current leaf springs are no longer available. Thanks to that, Tundra will get the better ride quality and towing capacity will be improved.
Exterior Redesign
The upcoming 2024 Toyota Tundra will follow the evolutionary way of a pickup truck segment. The current model feels outdated and its design is far from unique and modern. Because of that, Toyota will provide various cosmetical upgrades to its full-size truck. New Tundra will get sharper front fascia with a larger grille and taller hood.
The front section will look flashier and definitely more modern. The tailgate will look very minimalist and we think it looks beautiful on the latest renderings. The rear bumper adds aggressiveness and new bodylines are providing a sportier vibe.
Interior Gets Larger Display
Inside, the new 2024 Toyota Tundra will get exciting upgrades. For a start, the newest Entune infotainment system is in the offer. It comes with a 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen and another large head-up display.

2024 Toyota Tundra Release Date and Price
The 2024 Toyota Tundra will now cost around $35,000. The hybrid variant will surely start at over $40,000. Tundra is managing better and better sales but this model is still behind its competitors such as Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and Chevy Silverado 1500. Toyota will launch its redesigned full-size truck in the second half of 2023.
